1. Platform Overview
LOCA web zine ("the Platform") is an open photobook submission platform. Any person may submit a series of up to 10 photographs along with a statement and artist profile. Works are published immediately without prior review and are automatically removed after 90 days.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to submit content. By submitting, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
3. Your Content and Ownership
You retain all copyright and intellectual property rights to the photographs you submit. By submitting, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your work on this Platform for the duration of its publication period. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all submitted photographs, and that your submission does not infringe any third-party rights.
4. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately upon discovery. Where legally required, we will report violations to the relevant authorities. — Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): Any sexual depiction of a minor is absolutely prohibited under Japanese law (Act on Punishment of Activities Relating to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography) and applicable international law. Violations will be reported to authorities without exception. — Non-consensual intimate imagery: Photographs depicting real persons in a sexual context without their explicit consent, including so-called "revenge pornography." — Content that infringes the copyright or intellectual property rights of a third party. — Content that defames, harasses, or violates the privacy of identifiable individuals. — Hate speech or content that promotes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability. — Any content that is otherwise unlawful under applicable law.
5. Adult Content (18+)
Adult content (nudity, sexual expression) is permitted provided it involves consenting adults only. Submitters must accurately mark such works using the adult content flag at the time of submission. Visitors must pass an age verification gate before viewing adult content.
6. Delete Code
Upon submission, a unique delete code is issued. This code is the sole means by which you may permanently remove your work. The Platform does not store the code in recoverable form. You are solely responsible for keeping this code safe. The Platform cannot recover a lost delete code.
7. Automated Removal
All works are automatically removed 90 days after submission. No notification is sent prior to removal.
8. Paid Plans (Future)
The Platform may introduce optional paid plans in the future. Details, pricing, and cancellation terms will be disclosed at the time of launch.
9. Content Moderation
The Platform does not pre-screen submissions. If you discover content that violates these Terms, please contact us at hirokikamanoi@gmail.com. We will investigate and remove violating content as promptly as possible.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee continuous availability of the service and accept no liability for any loss of content or access.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any content published on it.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
